Filter Photocolorimeters Model (1
& 2) are available with 8 and 5 filters
respectively. The output is available on the meter both
in terms of Optical Density and Percentage Transmission.
This is a unique system that combines convenience in operation
with accuracy and precision in analysis. High standard
glass filters covering complete visible range of 400-700nm
mounted on a rotating disc, 6.5V tungston lamp as a light
source and highly sensitive photocell makes the instrument
rugged, accurate and economical in maintenance. A sample
size of 1ml makes the operations highly economical. Provision
has been made to switch ON the light source only when
needed, thereby increasing the life of photocell tremendously.
The instrument is extremely useful for quantitative estimation
of several chemical substances including blood chemistry
in Chemical/Clinical labs, pharmaceutical industries,
medicine plants, water treatment plants, agricultural
universities etc
